Product Details

NSV Cast Steel Swing check valves, like all check valves, are used to prevent back flow in the line. The pressure of the fluid passing through a system opens the valve, while any reversal of flow will close the valve. The swing check valve functions by allowing flow forces to move the closure element, it is a hinged clapper which swings or rotates around a supporting shaft.

Robust one-piece construction to withstand the severe shock of check valve service. Hardfaced with 13Cr, CoCr alloy, SS 316, or Monel, ground and lapped to a mirror finish. Sizes NPS 2–6 (DN 50–150) may have solid CA 15 (13Cr) disc. SS 316 disc with CoCr alloy facing also available.
