NSV Cryogenic floating ball valve is used for low temperature working condition , especially for some hazard media, such as liquidized natural gas.
These cryogenic floating ball valve is the optimum solution for cryogenic flow isolation at temp. as low as -196 degC,included LNG liquefaction,transportation and regasification,that's fire-safe and also meet ISO15848 standard.

1. Advantage,Design and manufacturing features
For cryogenic ball valve, if the valve is at closed position, the cryogenic liquid stayed in the cavity of the valve will be gasified and expanded when the temperature gets rising. This will cause the unusual high pressure in the cavity, and maybe break the valve. To avoid such dangerous accident, our ball valve has self-relief function for the cavity pressure. When the pressure in the cavity unusually rises, the medium in the cavity will push the seat to relive the pressure by it's own force.Such design will endure the safety of the valve.
The ball valve can be cryogenic tested if it is specified in the contract. The operating torque, sealing performance and other data can be obtained and checked by the test.
The spare parts of the valve shall be cryogenically treated to ensure their dimensional stability under the cryogenic condition.

2.Cryogenic Test
NSV in-house cryogenic test laboratory use the latest computer aided technology and is capable of certifying valves up to size 24" at temperature range from -46~-196deg C per test standard of BS6364 and Shell MESC SPEC 77/306.

3. KEL-F Polychlorotrifluoroethylene(PCTFE)
PCTFE is a fluorocarbon based polymer.It offers a unique combination of physical and mechanical properties non-flammability,chemical resistance,and near zero moisture absorption.It has a temperature range -400゜F to 400゜F(-240゜C to 240゜C) which is suitable for cryogenic applications.
