As we know that the gate valve with solid wedge mostly for these small forged gate valve(<=2" ) or cast gate valve(2"~4"). but for some special industry, the end-user request above 6" gate valve with solid wedge,what shall we do? such as suggest to flexible wedge instead of solid,or just follow as flexible no remind or others?
Some manufacturers with bad experience that just follow as standard wedge make up around of wedge except the couple(>=6" that couple back of the seal face),in other words,that's fake solid(as bellow dwg showing),and this kind of design that valve always will leakage.
