Structure: Features a ball with a machined V-shaped notch on a concentric axis.

Operation: The V-notch exposes flow area gradually, providing excellent equal-percentage flow characteristics for precise throttling.

Key Action: The sharp V-edge actively shears fibers and solids during closure to prevent clogging. However, the ball slides against the seat throughout the entire cycle, creating friction.
